100 Days in Office: Why Does The Majority Still Approve?

Even after adding to an already multi-trillion dollar deficit, mounting unemployment rate, and falling economy, how is it President Obama still has the majority of Americans on his side? Now its only been 100 days since he took office, granted. But nothing President Obama has done has contributed to fixing or even helping the economy in any way. So we ask ourselves, what is it that the majority of America is not seeing?

Let's talk about some of the claims President Obama made at a news conference that was held Wednesday in Arnold, MO. at a high school.

1. According to the news conference Obama states, "
We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs." Yet according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 1.2 million jobs have been lost in the U.S. since Obama took office. And who's even to say that the stimulus had anything to do with creating those 150,000 jobs other than President Obama.

2. Next President Obama states that, "We must lay a new foundation for growth, a foundation that will strengthen our economy and help us compete in the 21st century." claiming that new investments in education, energy, and healthcare will create savings that will bring down our deficit. Yet Obama has no logical explanation as to how we can pay for an investment of 1 trillion dollars over the next four years for healthcare other than the savings of the 50 billion dollars a year on the Iraqi war.

According to a nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, within four years Obama's policy proposal will add $428
billion a year to the deficit equaling to a total of $1.75 trillion.

3. President Obama also states, "I think one basic principle we know is that the more we do on the (disease) prevention side, the more we can obtain serious savings down the road..." Now after considering our current economic crisis, how is it that, investing our money into disease prevention, that has no gaurantees, a smart investment for fixing the first and foremost important situation we are all facing?, which is unemployment in America and the economy.

This is only the beginning of a policy that makes no sense to me and it is only the first 100 days. Can someone please help me to understand what it is that keeps his approval rating so high and what it is that the American people see that I do not.

Until next time...God Bless Us All!

  1. I think it's unfair to judge just after 100 days!!
I'm giving him at least 24 months and then I'll give my conclusions

  2. Fair enough, and your statement is understandable, but so far President Obama's are not.
